SAN FRANCISCO - The U.S. Environmental Protection will be recognizing Dixon Ridge Farms in a Winters, California environmental award ceremony. The Pacific Southwest Region's 2012 Sustainable Agricultural Champion Award will be presented to the organic walnut farm's founder, Russ Lester.

Craig Hooks. U.S. E.P.A. Assistant Administrator for Office of Administration and Resources Management from Washington, D.C.
Award Winner: Russ Lester and his family with Dixon Ridge Farms
WHAT: Award ceremony (brief) followed by optional one-hour tour of walnut farm
WHEN: Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at twelve noon; optional tour until 1:15 or 1:30 p.m.
